Les berbères sont un peuple dont l’histoire est essentiellement orale, et se relit plus facilement dans les objets archéologiques, les bijoux, ou les poteries, que dans des textes.
The history of the berberes is essentially oral, and can easily be decoded by looking at their antiques objects, jewellery or pottery, than by reading texts.

The D.Dress
ENG The “D” collection is actually a piece of software. There exist many types of industry software made for fashion designers to design in 3D that try to simulate cloth, but they are never good enough to inspire faith in how the design will look. So, I took the opposite approach of not trying to simulate cloth digitally at all, but rather chose a technique that makes cloth seem more digital. The result is a collection of futurist and fashion forward dresses, essentially made from triangle shapes, and designed in less than 1 minute!
FR La collection”D” provient en fait d’un logiciel. Il existe plusieurs programmes informatiques dans l’industrie déstinés aux créateurs de mode, pour simuler des vêtements en 3D avant de les créer en vrai, mais la simulation n’est souvent jamais assez précise pour inspirer confiance dans la fabrication du vrai vêtement. Continuum Fashion a donc procédé à l’inverse, c’est à dire ne pas essayer de simuler digitalement le vêtement avant création, et a plutôt choisi une technique consistant à créer un vrai vêtement sur ordinateur qui lui, ressemble à une simulation digitale. Le résultat est une collection de robes au look avant garde et futuriste, essentiellement composée de trianges géométriques, et créee en moins d’une minute!

FR Continuum Fashion c’est Mary Huang and Jenna Fizel, deux jeunes créatrices d’une marque de mode qui combine technologies emmergeantes très poussées et amour du prêt à porter. Voici leur nouvelle création, le Bikini Bespoke N12.Il ne comporte aucune couture nulle part, est modèlé sur mesures exactes de la cliente et seulement sur commande. Il est ensuite crée par impression digitale en 3 D dans le tissu. Des milliers de petites boules plates sont alors connectées par un fil de nylon extra fin. Il represente une ouverture sur les possibilités futures en matiere de nouvelles technologies de la mode. Son nom, N12, lui vient du materiau utilisé, le Nylon 12, un textile blanc, résistant, souple et waterproof. Le mélange parfait pour un bikini! Son prix : $1500

All of the pieces, closures included, are made directly by 3D printing and snap together without any sewing. N12 represents the beginning of what is possible for the near future. Thousands of circular plates are connected by extra thin strings. N12 is named for the material it’s made out of: Nylon 12. This solid nylon is created by the SLS 3D printing process. Shapeways calls this material “white, strong, flexible and waterproof.” The perfect mix for a bikini! The price: $1500.

FR Chaque année FASHIOCLASH MAASTRICHT présente un grand évenement mode au cours duquel des jeunes designers et artistes montrent leur travail. Cette année, le Projet Clash avait pour thematique dla création d’une tenue de defilé de mode dans laquelle les mannequins seraient capable de marcher. FOAMBOY par Heyniek propose un mélange interressant entre de superbes effets visuels en noir et blanc, la multiplication des images et une athmosphère musicale minimaliste grinçante.
ENG FASHIONCLASH MAASTRICHT hosts every year a big fashion event where young designers and artists show up their work. This year, The Clash Project asked to create an outfit for a catwalk show and the models must be able to walk in that outfit. “FOAMBOY” by Heyniek delivers an interesting mix of stunning black&white visual effects, multiplicative images and a minimalistic and creaking musical athmosphere.

FR Auteur/illustrateur français de bandes dessinées qui travaille aussi bien sur de la bande dessinée traditionnelle que sur de la bande dessinée érotique. La parution en album de Chloé “Trop plein d’écumes” en 1998 est une édition illégale faite sans l’accord de l’auteur car les textes ont été changés sur l’initiative de l’éditeur (Jean Carton) qui a remplacé les textes d’origine. La seule parution valide de ce récit est celle qui est parue dans le mensuel Bédéadult de 1984 à 1989.

Killer Jean’s
FR Le sablage, procédé qui consiste à projeter à haute pression des particules de sable sur le denim afin d’en accentuer l’aspect délavé, est formellement interdit car source de maladies incurables pour les ouvriers du secteur, notamment en Turquie ou 40 décés liés au sablage ont été enregistrés. Malgré cette interdiction, un certain nombre de marques telles que Armani ou Dolce&Gabbana continuent d’user de ce procédé dans la fabrication de leurs jeans. Au Bengladesh, l’industrie textile est chef de file dans les exportations du pays et fait travailler plus de 2.2 million de personnes.

Without the use of proper face protection, manual sandblasting can lead to silicosis by the inhalation of the silica dust in sand. Manual sandblasting has long been banned many European countries and the United States. The textile industry is Bangladesh’s number one export earner and employs over 2.2 million workers.

Labour Behing the Label created an illegal campaign to let people know about all that. They inserted messages in the back pockets of the jeans revealing what those brands do.

ENG Capezio was founded by Italian-born artist and cobbler, Salvatore Capezio in 1887. At the age of 17, he opened his first shop on Broadway and 39th Street, diagonally across from the old Metropolitan Opera House in New York City. At the time, the Statue of Liberty was barely a year old and the sign above his door read: The Theatrical & Historical Shoemaker. Capezio has been a family-run business from the beginning and has become the industry standard for all dance shoes and apparel.
FR Capezio a été fondé en 1887 par Salvatore Capezio, artiste et cordionnier d’origine italienne. A 17 ans, il ouvra son premier magasin sur Broadway et 39eme rue, juste en face de la Metropolitan Opera House à New York City. À cette période, la Statue de la Liberté avait à peu pres un an et on pouvait lire sur la pancarte au dessus de sa porte: Le Chausseur du Siècle. Capezio est une affaire de famille depuis le début et est devenue une réference dans l’industrie en matière de chaussures et tenues de danse.

FR\ Intriguée par le caractère éphémère des dessins à la craie qui sont, à cette époque, partie intégrante de la culture des gamins des rues de New York, Helen Levitt achète un Leica en 1938 et commence à photographier les dessins dans les rues et les enfants qui les font.
ENG\ Intrigued with the transitory chalk drawings that were part of the New York children’s street culture of the time, Helen Levitt purchased a Leica camera in 1938 and began to photograph these works, as well as the children who made them.
